At the heart of Wave Rewild Yoga, is the mission to rewild the waters by rewilding ourselves and our communities. Using a unique interweaving of ocean, water and blue health literacy alongside embodiment practises, offers a transformative reflection into the therapeutic power of water.

The ocean and humans are deeply interconnected. As a species our survival depends on that of aquatic ecosystems. It is time for a transformation in the way we value and use water, including our embodied water within us.

Bella is a marine biologist, conservationist and ocean advocate. She is an ocean therapy practitioner, divemaster, yoga teacher, water priestess and ecological anxiety facilitator. As the founder of Wave Rewild Yoga, she interweaves the health and wellbeing benefits of blue spaces for the health of blue spaces themselves.

We offer an evolving range of services from the signature offering of monthly Water Circles to blue mind workshops and 1:1 Wave Rewild Yoga sessions. There is something for everyone who feels the call of the waters at waverewildyoga.com.
Ocean literacy is, at it's simplest, the understanding of how we influence the ocean and how it influences us. The ocean provides us with half the air we breathe, our weather and climate, and the source of life.
Blue health is the investigation into how blue spaces provide physiological and psychological benefits to our health and wellbeing. The fluid sensory environment of blue spaces stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system restoring emotional regulation.
Water health is community health. When we can utilize the therapeutic capacity of ocean therapy, we feel rejuvenated enough to be empowered as an advocate.

At it's heart Yoga means union and yoking. In one of the the oldest Yogic texts, the Rigveda, water is seen as the primordial substance from which the universe was created, as a medium to attain spiritual enlightenment and purification, and a process of attaining eternity.

At Wave Rewild Yoga, our practice is not about becoming more flexible, losing weight, or just stretching. Sessions interweave the Patanjali's 8 yogic limbs through water advocacy, alongside water meditation, creative visualisation, movement, breathwork and reflection.
My earliest memories are of finding joy and fascination in the waters of the Mediterranean. As I cultivated a love for marine lifeforms and ecosystems, I became dedicated to pursuing a BSc in Marine Biology followed by an MSc in Marine Environmental Management.
My passion for protecting the waters from the relentless pressures on the marine environment became overshadowed with my anger and overwhelm at the disrespect for our interconnection with the natural world. This inspired me to pursue understanding the infinite capacity for how the healing power of nature can transform our relationship with our blue planet.
Learning to embody the role of water priestess through ritual, yoga, marine science and conservation action is a life long journey. Through training with the Ocean Healing and Therapy Institute, I developed a grounded approach as a facilitator who centres the interconnection between ecological and psychosomatic resilience.
